Balance is Key

Life is all about balance. Everything in life must be taken in moderation. To much of one thing leaves little room for another. For instance, “work and play.” It is important to work. To have a job and a steady income. You need to work to survive and support yourself and your family as well as be a productive member of society. On the other hand, it is also important to have fun and relax. Your body and brain need to take a break every once in a while in order to rejuvenate. Finding a balance between these two is the key. Working all the time can lead to a miserable life style with no fun and lack of time spent with loved ones. To much “play” is also not a good thing. The lack of responsibility and independence can lead to unhappiness just the same. There needs to be a balanced ratio for the relationship to work and ultimately bring happiness.

Balance can be found every where in life. Another example is exercise. Everyone knows it is important to exercise and have regular physical activity. It is important in order to stay healthy as well as feel good. However, exercising too much can do the opposite. You don’t want exercise to consume your life and every choice you make. Over exercising can wear out your body and cause injuries. Exercise and relaxation are equally important to living a happy healthy life.

Everything is about balance. Finding a balance can be difficult or hard to come to terms with. For people who are workaholics, it can be difficult to let go and think about something other than work and the same for people who are fitness junkies and go crazy if they miss a day at the gym. But balance is the only thing that will truly fulfill and enrich your life.

“Balance in your life is so very important, take time to find some.”

“Balance, that’s the secret. Moderate extremism. The best of both worlds.” – Edward Abbey
